EABST is designed to support you as pastor in fulfilling your biblical calling to teach everything that Christ has told us () and to entrust the things which you have heard to faithful men (). The examples of Christ with His disciples, and Paul with Timothy and Titus, establish a pattern of personal discipleship that EABST seeks to encourage in theological training.
EABST is committed to helping you mentor the next generation of undershepherds for Christ’s church. To that end, EABST’s curriculum brings students face to face with the Scriptures and challenges them to apply the text to their personal lives.
Since we believe that learning best takes place in the context of real ministry, significant aspects of every degree are based within the daily life of the student’s local church. Students receive credit for leading ministries, teaching classes, and thoughtfully evaluating their efforts. Thus, we ensure that each student is of maximum benefit to his local assembly during the learning process. In addition, EABST involves you, the pastor, and your church in the student’s training by working in direct cooperation with you while you mentor those under your care.
Upon graduation, your student will have learned much from you while serving the very body of believers most qualified to evaluate his spiritual gifts. Rather than depriving your assembly of a talented young student by taking him out of your church for theological training, EABST will work with you to disciple and train your student right at home in your local church.
In addition, if you live in the Nairobi area, the library at EABST can be a valuable asset to your ministry. We have over 14,000 monographs, reference works, and bound volumes of periodicals plus wireless internet access. For a small annual fee, you can access the library, a quiet atmosphere perfect for thoughtful sermon preparation.
If you are a pastor interested in this possibility, please contact the administration of EABST (EABSTInfo@eabst.org) to discuss the matter further.
